The RiteDos™electrochemical generator features a specialized cell with an anode (+) and cathode (−). When an electrical current is applied, oxidation occurs at the anode, converting chlorite ions (ClO₂⁻) into chlorine dioxide (ClO), which is dissolved directly into solution. Simultaneously, reduction at the cathode converts water into caustic (OH) and hydrogen gas (H). The caustic by-product may be collected for reuse or safely discharged, while the hydrogen is diluted with air and vented to the atmosphere.

This on-site, on-demand generation system offers a safer, more sustainable, and more efficient alternative to traditional ClO₂ production methods.

Role of InfraCorpproprietary Electrodes in ClO₂ Generation.

    1. Corrosion Resistance: Titanium is highly resistant to acids and oxidizers, making it durable in harsh ClO₂-producing environments.
    2. Stable Substrate for Coatings: Titanium is often coated with noble metal oxides (e.g., RuO₂, IrO₂, Pt) to form Dimensionally Stable Anodes (DSA), which:
      • Increase selectivity toward ClO₂
      • Minimize chlorate and chlorine gas formation
    3. Good Conductivity: Ensures efficient electron transfer with minimal energy loss.
    4. Long Service Life: Titanium-based electrodes maintain performance over extended periods.

Clearion™ | Closed-Loop Chlorite & Chlorate Control with ClO₂ Recovery

Clearion™ is InfraCorp’s proprietary technology that incorporates a gas-phase separation step using vacuum-assisted extraction to remove volatile disinfection byproducts—such as chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) gas—while concentrating non-volatile chlorite and chlorate ions in the liquid waste stream. Within the Clearion™ vacuum contactor, ClO₂ gas and its byproduct ions are selectively separated: the ClO₂ gas is recovered and returned to the main disinfection stream, while the chlorite and chlorate ions are retained in the aqueous phase and reduced downstream via catalytic treatment. This unique, closed-loop system enhances disinfection efficiency, minimizes chemical consumption, and ensures residual oxidants remain safely within regulatory compliance thresholds—preserving the integrity of your water treatment process.

Gas OrSolution RiteDos™

Chlorine dioxide produced in the recirculating anolyte loop of the  generator is extracted using a gas separator column and air. There are some applications where there is only one dosing point or where chlorine dioxide gas is required. The RiteDos™ has been designed specifically for these applications. For dosing into water systems, injection of chlorine dioxide gas utilises a booster pump and ejector.

 For gas phase reactions, chlorine dioxide is taken from Clearion™ to the mixing point. For applications requiring multiple dosing points, the RiteDos™ generator is ideally suited. Pure chlorine dioxide gas in a stable air mix is extracted fromClearion™  and dissolved into water in a solution tank at nominally 2,000 ppm. The generator is equipped with a control system for automatic dosing to max. three (3) dosing points. It is possible to use the RiteDos™ generator as a central depot for chlorine dioxide to distribute it accurately under PID Residual, Flow Paced (FP), Flow Paced Residual Trim (FPRT) or Manual control.
